JOB DETAILS:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Assistant located in Chongwe- Lusaka Province. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for providing animal and pet care, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, conducting client education, and delivering exceptional customer service. Daily tasks include preparing examination rooms, handling and restraining animals, administering medications and treatments under the supervision of veterinarians, and maintaining accurate medical records.Conduct house/farm call visits to provide Veterinary services.
Qualifications
• Certificate/Diploma in Animal Health Husbandry
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
• Client Education and Customer Service skills
• Basic knowledge of Veterinary Medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Zambia (VCZ)
