Job Summary:

We are looking for a courteous, energetic, and customer-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our client's hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by taking and serving food and beverage orders efficiently while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional dining environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about hospitality and committed to creating an outstanding dining experience for every guest.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome, seat, and provide courteous service to customers throughout their dining experience.
  • Present menus, explain menu items, and assist customers with meal selections.
  • Accurately take customer orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Set up and clear tables while maintaining an organized dining environment.
  • Keep the dining area, service stations, and workspaces clean and well-organized.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, health, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) O-Level credits.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • A certificate or formal training in Food and Beverage Service, Hospitality Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.

Required Competencies and Soft Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills (Able to Speak English and Vernacular).
  • Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • High levels of honesty, integrity, and reliability.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service and quick to learn.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required.
