Job Overview
The Warehouse Assistant will support the day-to-day warehouse operations by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
- Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Complete documentation and update inventory records
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Requirements.
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of inventory management practices
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification is an added advantage)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer literacy
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
- Good communication and teamwork skills
