Responsibilities or duties

The Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all stock management processes within the warehouse. This includes ensuring warehouse safety, maintaining high customer service standards, and supervising warehouse personnel.

• Enforce all stock management protocols and procedures within the warehouse environment.
• Schedule and assign customer orders, accurately recording them in the accounting system.
• Ensure customers are invoiced promptly and delivery notes are signed upon collection.
• Receive, control, and unpack all incoming shipments while managing import protocols.
• Coordinate with transporter companies to schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently.
• Secure all import documentation and ensure compliance with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) procedures.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping, environmental protection, and safety standards.
• Ensure all warehouse machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
• Supervise and support warehouse staff to optimize performance.
• Perform any additional lawful duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications or requirements

• Full Grade 12 certificate.
• Diploma in Stock Management and Warehouse Operations.
• Active membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
• Proven honesty with no criminal record and verifiable references.
• Computer literate with hands-on experience in stock management and accounting software such as Sage.

Experience needed

• Minimum of two years relevant work experience.
• Forklift driving experience is advantageous.
