About the role:
We are seeking warehouse workers (20) who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, including handling raw materials, spare parts, consumables, semi-finished, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the receiving and unloading of materials and products delivered to the warehouse.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments, check for damages, and report any discrepancies to the warehouse manager
- Safely move materials to the appropriate storage areas.
- Pick and pack materials and finished products according to order specifications.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring they are securely packaged and correctly labelled.
- Assist in loading products onto delivery vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials and products as needed.
- Follow safety protocols when operating machinery and handling heavy items.
- Use warehouse management software to record stock movements and update inventory levels.
- Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent is preferred
- Basic computer skills for using warehouse software.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand, walk, or perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Valid driving license for forklift vehicles, according to the Zambian regulations (not a must, but would be nice)
