REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting: Operations Manager
Location: Kalumbila, Northwestern Province
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment
- Direct and plan the daily activities of the workshop, including scheduling work, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Lead and manage workshop staff, assistant mechanics, and auto electrician
- Oversee inventory, spare parts procurement
- Implement and enforce quality control measures, conduct regular inspections, and address any quality issues promptly.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, conduct audits, and enforce HSE protocols
- Implement security and control systems to safeguard all equipment and tools
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Degree in Mechanical/Auto Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on workshop experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with earthmoving equipment
- Strong Knowledge of tools, equipment and repair techniques.
- Proven leadership in planning, safety, and operational efficiency
- Registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
- Valid Zambian driving license. Class c will be an added advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- Problem-solving abilities
- Valid Silicosis Certificate
- Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates which have been verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZQA)
