The company’s mission is to become a leading and integrated agri-business by optimizing the value chain and supporting the production of high-quality nutritious foods using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods. As our business continues to expand we are looking for a pool of talented individuals that are self-starters’ and experienced to oversee business operations for fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) in various parts of the Country to fill the vacancies.
Richmond Farms Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals to fill the following positions:
ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION)
Report to: Finance Manager
Job Purpose
To provide support in the effective management of the Company’s accounting and financial operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining sound financial controls, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing financial information to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory obligations.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning and performance management.
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and working capital requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide management with insights to support decision-making.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting systems and financial processes.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and supervision to finance staff.
- Support business expansion initiatives through financial modelling and investment analysis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance ACCA, ZICA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Chartered Accountant and Membership with ZICA.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
- Sound knowledge of VAT, PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, Withholding Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
