We are seeking a motivated Accounts Officer to join our team in Lusaka.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial transactions and ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost control and project costing.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor project expenditures, budgets, and cost variances.
  • Verify supplier invoices and subcontractor payments against approved purchase orders and contracts.
  • Prepare payment certificates and maintain records of project advances and retentions.
  • Support site teams in cost forecasting and budget compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers Compensation, and NCC statutory requirements.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a proper filing system for vouchers, receipts, and payment records.
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls and approval workflows.
  • process monthly payroll, ensuring correct deductions and timely payments.
  • Maintain staff advance and loan registers, ensuring proper recovery and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with HR on statutory remittances and staff benefits.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting (or related field).
  • Experience in a construction company is an added advantage.
  • Age 28‑35 years.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Must be based in Lusaka.
