Position Summary

The Team Lead – Central will be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, motivating, and supporting a network of sales agents to drive customer acquisition and product sales. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding access to clean energy solutions while ensuring sales targets are achieved and customer service standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Recruitment & Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and train sales agents within assigned territories.
  • Conduct agent assessments and support ongoing capacity building.
  • Ensure agents are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and product knowledge.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Supervise and motivate a team of sales agents.
  • Set and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Conduct field coaching and performance reviews.
  • Develop improvement plans for underperforming agents.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed assigned targets.
  • Organize market activations, product demonstrations, and community campaigns.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expansion areas.
  • Build relationships with community leaders and strategic stakeholders.

Inventory & Operational Management

  • Manage inventory allocated to the sales team.
  • Ensure accurate stock tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies, fraud, or policy violations.

Customer Service & Reporting

  • Support agents in resolving customer concerns.
  • Collect market intelligence and customer feedback.
  • Submit regular performance and operational reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in sales supervision, team leadership, field sales, or agent network management.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work extensively in the field and travel within assigned areas.
  • Experience in renewable energy, FMCG, microfinance, telecommunications, or related sectors will be an added advantage.
