JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of air conditioning (AC) and refrigeration systems, including split units, window units, central chilling plants, cold rooms, display fridges, and freezers.
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting to identify malfunctions and defects in systems using specialized tools and testing equipment (e.g., manifold gauges, multimeters, leak detectors).
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM) according to schedule to ensure system efficiency, longevity, and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Handle, recover, and recharge refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, thermostats, and electrical control systems.
- Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals to perform accurate installations and repairs.
- Complete detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and parts usage documentation for each job.
- Advise clients on system operation, maintenance recommendations, and energy-saving practices.
- Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to company safety policies and industry standards.
