Join Our Vital Support Team!
We are looking for a professional, reliable, and patient-focused Driver to join our hospital’s logistics and medical support department. This role is central to our daily operations, ensuring safe patient transfers and rapid response during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine Patient Transport: Safely transport patients for admissions, discharges, and inter-hospital transfers.
- Emergency Response: Operate the ambulance under emergency conditions when dispatched, ensuring the fastest and safest routes.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections, ensure the vehicle is fueled, clean, and mechanically sound.
- Patient Assistance: Assist medical staff in the safe loading and unloading of patients using stretchers or wheelchairs.
- Logistics Support: Assist with the delivery of urgent medical supplies or lab samples as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid professional driving license (Class C1 or higher preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional driving experience; prior experience in a hospital or parastatal environment is a major plus.
- Clean Record: No history of major traffic violations or criminal record.
- Communication: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to assist in lifting and moving patients and equipment.
- Personal Traits: High level of integrity, calm under pressure, and a strong sense of punctuality.
