Responsibilities or duties

  • Provide direct clinical care to patients living with HIV, including diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, treatment of conditions, and referral and follow-up of patients .
  • Manage a defined caseload of patients with complex needs for regular follow-up care and treatment, focusing on enabling patients to optimize their health .
  • Assess and interpret complex clinical information to make appropriate diagnoses and develop healthcare management plans .
  • Use specialist knowledge in providing HIV care to undifferentiated patients attending the HIV department .
  • Provide specialist education and development for nursing staff and colleagues through education programs and clinical supervision .

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Relevant Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Relevant Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification for the position applied for
  • Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
  • Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • ZAQA-verified academic qualifications will be an added advantage

Experience needed

Relevant work experience as specified for the position

Contract Type: 10-Month Contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds)
