Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain all aspects of the refractory lining installation on all ball mills in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities or duties

• Maintain and install all refractory linings within the required specifications for all ball mills;
• Troubleshoot and rectify any issues relating to the refractory linings;
• Monitor the performance of the refractory linings and implement corrective measures as necessary;
• Provide technical advice and guidance to other maintenance personnel regarding refractory materials;
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the refractory lining installation process;
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations when working with hazardous materials such as refractory linings.

Qualifications or requirements 

• Technical knowledge of metallurgy and refractory materials;
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• High level of physical fitness due to the strenuous nature of the duties involved.
