Shorthorn Printers Limited, a leading printing company in Zambia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Accountant - Debt Management (Debt collector) to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking debt recovery and debt management to ensure the availability of Company resources.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake timely debt follow-ups to facilitate efficient account resolution and prevent losses

- Prepare and maintain an accurate debtor's database to facilitate easy retrieval of information

- Investigate customer account disputes and document actions taken in the resolution of discrepancies

- Prepare customer payment plans to facilitate payment of debts

Reporting Relationships:

- Reports to: Finance Manager/Financial Accountant

- Internal Contacts: Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), Finance team, and other departments

- External Contacts: Commercial Banks, Private Companies, Individuals, Government Ministries, and Public Institutions

Requirements:

- Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 Credits inclusive of mathematics

- Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent

- Membership to the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) is a plus

- 3 years working experience in a similar role

- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English

- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

- Ability to work with computer accounting packages

- Integrity and tact in handling sensitive information
