Job Purpose

To provide administrative support to the Finance team, ensuring the operational efficiency of the finance department through accurate financial record management, timely preparation of reports, efficient data entry, and effective scheduling of appointments to support smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities or duties

  • To prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
  • To manage and record day-to-day transactions.
  • To manage company ledgers.
  • To prepare bank reconciliations
  • To reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • To handle accruals and prepayments.
  • To enter financial information into appropriate software programs
  • To sort financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
  • To accurately prepare financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • To secure financial information by completing database backups.
  • To maintain financial security by following internal controls.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • ZICA Licentiate/NATECH, ACCA level II, full AAT.
  • Member of ZICA.

Experience needed

  • Minimum of two (02) relevant years’ experience.

Competences and Attributes

  • Proficiency in Financial record management, report preparation.
  • Proficiency in MS excel and word.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting systems and packages such as Pastel Accounting Software, Sage.
  • Detail- oriented and organized.
  • Team player and dependable.
