Background

Delta Auto and Equipment Ltd is seeking the services of proactive and reliable Assistant Heavy Equipment Repair Mechanics (x4) to join our team in Chambishi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty or damaged parts on heavy-duty machines/equipment.
• Perform routine servicing, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment/vehicles.
• Assess vehicles and machinery to accurately identify faults and ensure effective repairs.
• Monitor vehicle performance after servicing or repairs.
• Consult and collaborate with other mechanics on minor repair tasks.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment to the Supervisor or Management.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service records.
• Ensure workshop tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and kept in a safe, usable condition.
• Enforce compliance with Quality, Health & Safety standards among subordinates.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate strong technical competence and effective written and oral communication skills

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

• Grade 12 certificate
• Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repairer
• A Member of EIZ
