Purpose

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the Company’s equipment and machinery in a cost-effective manner and ensure that the fleet is available for operations even after a failure within reasonable time.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs for all the company fleet of tippers, ADTs, excavators, dozers, graders, compactors, light vehicles, etc;
• Design maintenance policies and procedures;
• Prepare workshop budgets and track the budgets and expenses;
• Oversee the inspections of equipment to find problems and make necessary repairs;
• Schedule maintenance tasks;
• Supervising maintenance employees;
• Oversee the response to maintenance emergencies;
• Monitor equipment reliability and effectiveness;
• Ensure that commonly used spare parts are available at all times ;
• Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics; and
• Several other functions as advised by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Full grade twelve (12) certificate
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Additional certifications in maintenance or technical fields are an added advantage
• Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia

Experience

• Minimum experience of 5 years in maintenance
• Must have proven working experience on Sino Trucks ;
• Must have proven working experience on graders, excavators, dozers, ADTs, etc.
• Mining experience is an advantage
