Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our production facility. In this role, you will bridge the gap between production planning and floor execution. You will manage pressroom operators, finishing teams, and prepress staff to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and on-time delivery of print jobs. The ideal candidate has to have experience or technical knowledge of a production line and any print processes ( digital, or flexographic) will be an added advantage with excellent team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling & Execution: Translate orders into daily production schedules, optimizing machine use with production staff, and finishing setups to minimize downtime.
• Staff Supervision: Lead and manage machine operators, production staff, and prepress technicians, ensuring optimal shift coverage and performance.
• Quality Control: Enforce strict quality management, and finishing standards to eliminate misprints, material waste, and work rejections.
• Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor levels of stock and other consumables; coordinate with procurement to avoid stockouts.
• Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance/ machine operators to schedule preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized production floor adhering to local safety standards, Enforce all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, machine guarding compliance, and safe chemical/solvent handling.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: a minimum of internship to 1 year of supervisory experience in a commercial environment or a diploma in Production Management.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of prepress workflows, color theory, and print finishing operations is an added advantage.
• Attributes: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under tight, fast-moving deadlines.
