Background information about the job or company (e.g., role context, company overview)
We are looking for Qualified Auto Electricians who have professional experience in maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and trailers. You will be mainly responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and fixing any issues with our trucks with the aim of ensuring maximum functionality and reliability.
Responsibilities or duties
Maintain vehicle functional condition by - listening to driver complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical systems malfunctions; replacing damaged parts and components
Verifying vehicle serviceability and recording service notes for managers
Find and identify mechanical faults
Advise managers on repairs needed and how critical they are
Consulting with other mechanics on issues that seem complex and coordinating with other departments and team members to order parts
Perform mechanical and electrical work related to the diagnosed mechanical malfunctions
Accomplish maintenance and organization by completing related results as needed
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- High school certificate and auto electrical qualification certificate.
- Excellent knowledge and skills in mechanical and electronic components of heavy trucks and trailers
- Immensely detail-oriented with the ability to observe much-needed safety precautions by performing preventative maintenance work
- Complex problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication skills.
