The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Checking, repairing and maintaining and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles. Repairing defective engines or engine components and service.
- Performing thorough inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems in engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems in engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
- Conducting test drives to evaluate performance and identify issues not apparent during static inspections
- Conducting Preventative Maintenance
- Making necessary adjustments to vehicle systems and performing alignments to ensure optimal performance.
- Discussing vehicle issues with customers, providing clear explanations, and recommending necessary repairs or maintenance
- Keeping detailed records of services performed, parts used, and repairs completed
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have a Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Auto-Mechanics or Equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in Auto-Mechanics
- At least a holder of a basic Driving License
- Must be a Member of EIZ
