Job Summary

The Blow Mold Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of the blow molding machinery. This role ensures that PET preforms are correctly transformed into high-quality bottles that meet our strict structural and safety specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Start up, operate, and shut down blow molding machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Quality Control: Constantly monitor bottle weight, wall thickness, and clarity. Perform visual inspections to detect defects like "pearl," "haze," or "drop-outs."
  • Process Optimization: Adjust machine parameters (heat, pressure, and timing) to ensure optimal production speed and quality.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues or process deviations during the shift.
  • Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

Technical Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 Certificate with a Craft Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating blow molding machines.
  • Skills: Understanding of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) properties and preform heating.
