Position: Broker
Location: Lusaka
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Broker to join our Lusaka office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions, and supporting business growth through effective service and sound risk management advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prompt delivery of high-quality day-to-day client service.
- Should be able to assess client’s insurance risk needs and provide / advise solutions.
- Negotiating insurance placements with insurers.
- Should be able to conduct renewal processes for clients. This includes preparation of necessary reports used in the renewal process.
- Attending client meetings i.e. Pre-Renewal Meetings, Renewal meetings and client sales meetings.
- Ensuring Insurance Policy Documents are issued, checked and shared with clients.
- Debt collection to ensure clients are following agreed credit terms.
- To monitor industry developments and stay updated on market dynamics to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders including insurance carriers, industry associations, and referral partners to expand our network and generate referrals.
- Performance of all other duties incidental to the Broking function within the organization.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Full Grade 12 school certificate, with at least 5 credits at ‘O’ levels.
- Holder of Cert CII / National Diploma in Insurance (NDI).
- Minimum 3–4 years insurance / broking experience.
- Must be a Self-Starter.
- Proactive attitude and a team player with the ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Should have good customer relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong ICT skills i.e. Word, Excel and Power Point.
