Goldenlay Agri Ltd is the largest producer, supplier, and distributor of table eggs across Zambia, and boasting a brand familiar to retailers and consumers alike. Goldenlay is hereby inviting applications from suitable qualified candidate to fill the position of Builder.

The Builder is responsible for carrying out construction, repair, and maintenance work according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role requires practical building skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and experience in general construction activities.

Responsibilities or duties

• Carry out building and construction works such as bricklaying, plastering, concreting, and block work
• Read and interpret building drawings, plans, and specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble construction materials accurately
• Ensure construction work meets quality standards and building regulations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations on site
• Repair and maintain existing structures when required
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople
• Report progress, challenges, and material needs to the site supervisor

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Craft Certificate in Building or a related construction trade
• Grade 12 (or equivalent) certificate
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Physically fit and able to work on construction sites
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

Experience needed

• Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in building or construction
