About Ziba Consulting and the Graduate Trainee Programme

Ziba Consulting Limited partners with private companies, development partners, NGOs, and community organizations to deliver funding proposals, grant management, project design, and business advisory services. We are growing a multidisciplinary team of consultants who excel at developing winning proposals and managing funded projects, while also applying their own specialized expertise.

Our graduate trainee programme is a structured, two-phase development pathway rather than a traditional internship. It prepares trainees for a consulting career through intensive training and practical experience.

Phase 1: Intensive Training (Months 1–6)

Selected trainees will engage in a rigorous, hands-on training programme covering:

  • Grant writing and proposal development, including concept notes, full proposals, logframes, theories of change, budgets, and funder compliance
  • Grant and project management, encompassing work planning, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, risk management, and results-based financing
  • Research, analysis, and professional business writing
  • Consulting practices such as client engagement, report writing, presentations, and meeting deadlines

Trainees will work on live client and company assignments from day one under close supervision. A monthly stipend is provided throughout this six-month period.

Phase 2: Placement and Career Development

Upon successful completion of training, trainees will be placed as consultants or full-time staff in one of two streams:

  • Grant Writing & Proposal Development
  • Project & Grant Management

In addition to core consulting responsibilities, team members will apply their professional backgrounds—such as Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, or Business Development—to support the firm’s internal operations. These functional roles complement, but do not replace, their proposal and project management duties.
