The Opportunity
Hobbiton is seeking a sharp, analytical, and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team in Lusaka. If you already reside in Lusaka or are willing to self-relocate, this role offers a chance to be part of a fast-evolving digital finance ecosystem
What You Will Do
- Gather, analyze, and interpret business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Collaborate with business units of Hobbiton to understand data needs and translate them into analytical requirements.
- Create and optimize data models and visualization solutions that support business goals.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and systems.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Support the development and maintenance of data warehouses and ETL processes.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and data interpretation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper data governance, security, and compliance.
Requirements
- Full Grade Twelve or O-level Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting roles.
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization best practices.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is an added advantage.
- Understanding of fintech business models, financial metrics, and Zambia’s digital finance landscape.
- Familiarity with Bank of Zambia regulatory requirements for payments, fintech operations, and data protection.
- Experience working in an agile environment is an advantage.
