About the Opportunity
BEM Consult is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Cabin Crew Supervisor – Aviation.
Job Purpose
The Cabin Services Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of cabin operations, cabin crew performance, regulatory compliance, customer service standards, and cabin crew resource management while actively operating as a Senior Cabin Crew member.
The position serves as the focal point for cabin crew scheduling, welfare, training coordination, performance monitoring, and operational support, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations.
Overall Responsibilities
- Act as the designated Senior Cabin Crew on assigned flights and provide leadership to cabin crew during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, aviation regulations, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Serve as the primary focal point for monitoring cabin crew performance, productivity, conduct, and professional standards, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate cabin crew scheduling activities with Crew Scheduling personnel, including monitoring crew availability, leave planning, manpower requirements, roster adjustments, and operational coverage.
- Monitor crew qualifications, recency, training validity, and regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring timely corrective actions and maintaining operational readiness.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and relevant departments to identify training needs and facilitate initial, recurrent, and corrective training programmes.
- Review cabin safety reports, occurrence reports, audit findings, and service-related reports; monitor implementation of corrective actions and escalate critical or urgent matters to the Operations Manager.
- Support cabin crew welfare initiatives, manage workplace conflicts, promote a positive working environment, and foster effective communication within the cabin crew workforce.
- Monitor and enhance onboard service delivery and customer experience, ensuring service excellence and effective resolution of passenger concerns.
- Contribute to workforce planning, policy development, operational improvements, and continuous enhancement of cabin safety and service standards.
- Perform administrative, operational, and supervisory duties as assigned in support of departmental and organisational objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Aviation, Hospitality Management, Customer Service, Tourism, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience as Cabin Crew, including experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- Valid Cabin Crew, Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP), and First Aid certifications.
- Proven experience in Cabin Crew Management, Flight Operations, and Aviation Regulatory Compliance.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organisational, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
- Extensive customer experience knowledge with a proven track record in drafting and implementing customer experience strategies aligned to the aviation sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Cabin Crew platforms will be an added advantage.
