Background

Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed, and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

Responsibilities

• Strictly adherence to structural plans
• Installing structures and fixtures.
• Carrying out roofing works.
• Preparing timber structures as required.
• Carrying out fittings works for doors, windows and frames.
• Fitting of window glasses
• Regularly assessing activities conducted to identify any significant hazards
• Ensuring that scaffolds and ladders are positioned properly to prevent falls (accidents)
• Wearing and using appropriate protective clothing and safety equipment.
• Adhering to all company healthy and safety policies.
• Responsible for carrying out all carpentry works for the company
• Any other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Certificate or Diploma in Carpentry & Joinery, Construction, or related field from a recognized institution.
• Prior practical working experience in formwork construction, roofing, cabinet making, door/ceiling installation, and timber repairs
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, planers, sanders)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or specifications
