Background

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:

2. CATTLE SUPERVISOR

Location: Masaiti, Ndola

Industry: Livestock / Agriculture

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Cattle Supervisor to oversee cattle production, herd management, animal welfare, and overall livestock quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective cattle breeding programmes.
  • Develop and monitor feeding and nutrition programmes.
  • Ensure high standards of animal welfare and husbandry.
  • Monitor, prevent, and manage cattle diseases.
  • Monitor herd health, growth, reproduction, and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate livestock and production records.
  • Supervise farm staff and ensure proper implementation of cattle management practices.
  • Implement measures to improve cattle quality and productivity.
  • Ensure proper handling, movement, and management of cattle.
  • Work with veterinary personnel on herd health and production matters.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in cattle/livestock management.
  • Strong practical, hands-on experience in cattle farming and herd management.
  • Proven experience in breeding, feeding, animal welfare, and disease control.
  • Good knowledge of cattle production systems and herd health.
  • Strong supervisory and team-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a demanding farm environment and make sound operational decisions.
  • Hands-on cattle management experience is essential.
