Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to support kitchen operations by preparing high-quality meals, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and contributing to menu development. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient kitchen performance and delivering a great dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation consistently meet high standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization of the kitchen at all times.
  • Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary.
  • Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Create new menu items and contribute to menu planning and improvement.
  • Ensure proper use and care of kitchen equipment.
  • Minimize food waste and support cost-effective kitchen operations.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management
  • At least one (1) year of proven experience as a Chef or Cook
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude
