The North Western Provincial Health Office, under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions listed below, to be employed on a ten (10) month contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Responsibilities or duties

Clinical Mentorship

Coordinates and undertakes comprehensive HIV/TB mentorship programs for healthcare providers in order to improve clinical knowledge, skills, and patient outcomes.

Capacity Building

Develops and implements training programs and educational materials for HIV/TB care providers in order to enhance technical competencies and adherence to treatment guidelines.

Quality Improvement

Conducts clinical audits, case reviews, and supportive supervision to identify gaps and implement quality improvement interventions in HIV/TB service delivery.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Undertakes effectively the monitoring and evaluation of HIV/TB programs and mentorship activities in order to facilitate appropriate interventions and measure impact.

Technical Support

Provides on-site technical assistance and consultation to health facilities on complex HIV/TB cases and program implementation challenges.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine or equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine will be an added advantage.
  • Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
  • HIV/TB clinical management certification.
  • Training and mentorship skills certification (preferred).

Experience needed

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in HIV/TB clinical care and program management.

Any other provided details 

  • Ability to write comprehensive clinical reports, training materials, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge in HIV/TB care and management.
  • Training and adult learning facilitation skills.
  • Computer literacy and data management skills.
  • Integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and team coordination abilities.
