Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for positions based at its field office in Shangombo District, Western Province.
EFZ is a voluntary Christian church mother body registered under the Registrar of Societies in Zambia and operates as a non-profit organization. It is currently implementing the Climate Just Communities (CJC2) project in Shangombo District, funded by the Scottish Government and coordinated by NIRAS Group UK, with EFZ serving as the community delivery partner.
The CJC2 project supports climate-vulnerable communities through interventions in water access and management, climate-resilient agriculture, natural resource management (NRM), disaster risk reduction (DRR), market access, gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), and advocacy.
Responsibilities or duties
- Develop and implement EFZ’s communications and visibility strategy.
- Manage and develop content for EFZ digital platforms, including the website and social media accounts.
- Produce high-quality content including reports, newsletters, briefs and social media updates.
- Support branding and visibility requirements in line with donor guidelines.
- Coordinate media engagement and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide communications support to project teams across districts.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Recent graduate with a Diploma or Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in photography, videography and basic design tools is an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Commitment to EFZ’s values and mission.
Experience needed
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in communications, preferably within the NGO sector.
- Experience entry level, team player, ability to work independently and meet deadlines
