Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Control Room Manager to oversee 24/7 security operations within our central control room. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing real-time monitoring systems, coordinating incident response, and supervising control room staff to ensure operational excellence.
1. Key Responsibilities-Control Room Operations
- Oversee all real-time monitoring of CCTV, alarm systems, GPS tracking, and radio communications.
- Ensure continuous 24/7 operational readiness of the control room.
- Supervise control room operators and shift supervisors.
Incident Management & Response
- Receive, assess, and prioritize security incidents and emergency calls.
- Coordinate rapid deployment of armed response teams and field officers.
- Ensure accurate incident logging, escalation, and follow-up until closure.
Communication & Coordination
- Maintain effective communication between control room, patrol units, supervisors, and clients.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts with complete operational briefing.
- Liaise with police and emergency services when required.
Reporting & Documentation
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Ensure accurate recording of all alarms, incidents, and response actions.
- Maintain compliance records and audit trails for all control room activities.
Systems & Technology Oversight
- Ensure optimal functioning of control room systems (CCTV, tracking systems, radio networks, alarm platforms).
- Report system faults and coordinate maintenance with technical teams.
- Support implementation of new security technologies.
People Management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate control room staff.
- Manage shift schedules, attendance, and discipline.
- Conduct performance reviews and recommend training needs.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and client security requirements.
- Identify operational risks and recommend preventive measures.
- Enforce confidentiality and data protection standards.
2. Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 certificate (minimum requirement)
- Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Criminology, or related field (advantage)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a control room or security operations environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, alarm monitoring, and radio communication systems
- Computer literate (MS Office and security software systems)

- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Customer service orientation
