A reputable and growing micro finance institution operating in Zambia, is seeking for a Credit Analyst to support the Credit Manager in assessing loan applications, analysing financial data and ensuring quality lending decisions that protect portfolio health and support business growth.

• Credit Policy & Strategy: Develop, review, and enforce credit policies, scorecards, and lending criteria in line with approved guidelines.
• Credit Assessment: Oversee loan appraisals for retail and SME clients. Approve facilities within delegated authority and escalate complex cases.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio health, PAR ratios, NPLs, and early-warning indicators. Implement corrective action where needed.
• Collections & Recoveries: Work closely with Collections to reduce delinquency, oversee recovery strategies, and minimize write-offs.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly credit risk reports for Exco/Board. Ensure compliance with Bank of Zambia, ZICA, and internal audit requirements.
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor the Credit Analysts/Officers team to maintain high standards of assessment and service.
• Systems & Data: Optimize use of our loan management system and Excel/Power BI for credit monitoring and forecasting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or related field.
• ACCA/CIMA/ZICA or Risk/Credit certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit, risk, or lending, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Microfinance, NBFIs, or banking experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, collateral management, and Zambian lending regulations.
