Crops Manager Role – Agriculture Manager Jobs in Mbala
The Crops Manager will lead all crop production activities, with a special focus on commercial potato farming alongside other crops such as maize, soya beans, wheat, and vegetables. Responsibilities include planning seasonal crop activities, managing inputs, supervising labor, and ensuring efficient harvesting and storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement crop production plans and budgets.
- Manage potato and other crop production from land preparation to post-harvest handling.
- Supervise farm workers and seasonal labor teams.
- Monitor crop health, yields, and implement productivity improvements.
- Coordinate farm machinery use and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field.
- At least 5 years of commercial crop farming experience, with strong expertise in potato farming.
- Knowledge of pest management, irrigation, fertilization, and crop rotation.
- Proven leadership and independent working ability in rural settings.
- Professional references and willingness to live on-site.
