Background

Cleanergy is making clean cooking gas more accessible across Lusaka. We are looking for a hands‑on, entrepreneurial agent to own a territory. You will generate high‑quality leads through door‑to‑door surveys, community engagement, and mall activations; convert those leads into paying customers; and personally deliver gas cylinders to homes and businesses. You will also support a network of local outlets that sell our gas. Your earnings grow with the sales you make and the customers and outlets you bring on board.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct door‑to‑door and community surveys using digital tools (KoboCollect, Google Forms) to capture household locations, contact details, and cooking fuel preferences.
  • Map the customer catchment area by gathering accurate location and household data.
  • Actively promote PimisaGas LPG, stoves, and cooking oil to potential customers.
  • Convert leads into paying customers through follow‑up calls, home visits, and product demonstrations.
  • Deliver gas cylinders to homes, shops, boarding houses, lodges, hotels, and canteens within your territory.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently and ensure timely, safe service.
  • Assist at the mall information desk in a high‑traffic area, welcome customers, answer questions, and generate leads.
  • Distribute flyers, posters, and promotional materials during activations and outreach.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support small retail shops, kiosks, and other local outlets to sell or use PimisaGas and gas stoves.
  • Train outlet partners on product basics, pricing, and how to serve their customers.
  • Ensure your network of outlets has sufficient stock and marketing materials; visit regularly to check performance and restock.
  • Keep simple daily records of surveys completed, leads captured, calls made, deliveries completed, and customer feedback.
  • Collect payments on delivery where required and reconcile them daily.
  • Report challenges in the field and advise the sales team on customer concerns.
  • Represent the PimisaGas brand professionally and build trust in the community at all times.
  • Follow safety and brand communication guidelines, and ensure any devices provided are used responsibly and data is captured securely.

Qualifications

  • Confident approaching and speaking to members of the public, from market traders to small business owners to professionals.
  • Experience in sales, distribution, or field marketing (FMCG, airtime, mobile money, hospitality supply, or similar).
  • Well‑connected in one of the target areas (Bauleni, Mtendere) with existing relationships with small business owners and community members.
  • Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for surveys, data entry, and lead capture.
  • Familiar with Lusaka’s roads and neighbourhoods; you can navigate compounds efficiently.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Responsible with cash and basic record‑keeping.
  • A valid AB driver’s licence (for tuk‑tuk or motorcycle) is a strong advantage.
  • Self‑driven, target‑oriented, and able to manage your own time effectively.
  • Customer‑centric attitude with the ability to explain products clearly.
  • Fluent in English and Nyanja or Bemba.

What We Offer

  • High earning potential tied to your personal sales, deliveries, and the performance of your network.
  • A small stipend to help with talk time and transport costs.
  • Use of a delivery vehicle (tuk‑tuk) during working hours (if applicable).
  • Marketing materials and product training for you and your outlet partners.
  • Support from Cleanergy’s sales team.
  • Opportunity to grow into a larger territory management role.
  • Conduct door‑to‑door and community surveys using digital tools (KoboCollect, Google Forms) to capture household locations, contact details, and cooking fuel preferences.
