Background
Huachen International Supply Chain Limited seeks to employ a Customs Clearance Supervisor in the Bonded Warehouse Department to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Preparing and submitting all relevant customs clearing documents for entry registrations.
Accurately assign applicable HS Codes when submitting customs entries.
Communicate and maintain relationships with customs clearing agents and all relevant authorities, such as ZRA and make follow-ups on the status of entry registrations.
Draft and submit RIB letters of approval.
Training and skills development for new staff on clearing procedures and customs entry registrations.
Resolve customs-related issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
Develop and execute strategies to optimize customs clearing timelines and reduce cross-border clearance-related costs.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related field.
Residents of Ndola and Copperbelt are preferred.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in customs clearing with strong knowledge in Zambian entries registrations.
Experience in a supervisory role will be an added advantage.
Familiar with local inland and regional transportation clearance, with extensive experience with IM8, IM7, EX1, IM4 and RIT export clearances.
Must be familiar with the Zambian Tax tariff book and able to correctly assign the correct HS Codes for entry registrations.
Other Requirements
Must possess excellent decision-making skills.
Must have extensive experience with the ZRA ASYCUDA System.
Must be able to create relationships and communicate with clearing agents and local authority agents regarding entries and releases.
Willing to work overtime and accept special work arrangements.

All interviews shall be conducted in-person at our Sakania Office in Ndola.
