Job Purpose
The Data Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to the Commercial Head, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to optimize sales performance, improve operational efficiency, and support high-level business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Extract, clean, and validate data from various internal and external sources to ensure a "single source of truth."
- Performance Analysis: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales data to provide insights into market behavior and business health.
- Visualization: Design and maintain interactive Power BI/Tableau dashboards that allow stakeholders to track performance in real-time.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to provide data-driven recommendations for strategic planning.
- KPI Monitoring: Track and report on critical business metrics, ensuring management is alerted to significant deviations.
- Process Automation: Develop and implement automated reporting workflows to reduce manual entry and increase departmental efficiency.
- Ad-hoc Reporting: Respond to rapid-response data requests to support urgent management decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience in a Data Analyst role, ideally within a commercial or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
- Data Literacy: Proven track record of managing large datasets and delivering complex business reports.
Technical Proficiencies
- Advanced Excel: (VBA, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas).
- SQL: Strong ability to write queries to extract and manipulate data.
- BI Tools: High proficiency in Power BI or Tableau.
- Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of relational databases and data architecture.
Core Competencies
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to solve complex problems with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Communication: Exceptional skill in translating technical findings into "plain English" for non-technical stakeholders.
- Agility: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
