AB Bank is looking for suitable candidates to fill the position of Database Administrator.

Responsibilities or duties

The Database Administrator will be responsible for planning, deploying, configuring, and maintaining database related servers.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
• Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or comparable qualification with 3+ years’ experience. ZAQA certification is a must.
• Proven experience and success with database administration, core banking system management, and adequate banking knowledge.
• Proven experience with enterprise applications (e.g. MS SQL Server, mySQL, Postgre), databases, middle ware.
• Working knowledge of various database query/scripting languages. (SQL, TSQL, DDL, DML, DCL, TCL).
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Good Communication and Presentation Skills, Orally & Verbally
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Confidentiality and Integrity.

• Planning, deploying, configuring, and maintaining databases & database related servers. Administratively responsible for all SQL servers on ABZ network.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly refresh database procedures and strategy in line with current and emerging business needs and technology.
• Install, and administer database servers and systems such as MS SQL, MySQL, and Postgre etc.
