VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: DISPATCH ANALYST (SHORT TERM)
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Dispatch Analyst (Short term) to join the versatile Maintenance Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to Engineer – Reliability, you will be responsible for monitoring equipment health, coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring efficient communication between operations, maintenance teams and dispatch systems to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: –
- Monitor real-time equipment status using fleet management and dispatch systems.
- Assist in root cause analysis for major equipment failures.
- Track availability and utilization of HME such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders and drills.
- Act as the main communication link between operations and technicians for both breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate equipment dispatch to support production targets.
- Identify equipment requiring maintenance based on alerts, condition monitoring or operator reports.
- Ensure equipment is removed from service safely for repair when required.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify downtime trends and recurring faults.
To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Advanced Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum three (3) years working in the reliability, condition monitoring, dispatch or similar role.
- Reliability, Condition monitoring and dispatch experience will be an added advantage.
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia.
- Sound knowledge of fleet management and dispatch systems (e.g. Hexagon MineOperate, Modular Mining Dispatch, Wenco, CAT MineStar or equivalent).
- Competent in data analysis, reporting and performance trend analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Minimum of an unrestricted Class B driver’s license
