JOB PURPOSE
To coordinate and oversee the movement of agricultural products from central warehouses to regional depots, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-efficient stock allocation based on validated sales orders and invoices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Order & Dispatch Coordination
- Receive and verify sales orders from the regional sales team.
- Ensure all outbound stock movements are matched with approved invoices and delivery documents.
Stock & Depot Management
- Initiate stock replenishment transfers between depots based on sales forecasts and seasonal demand.
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Logistics & Distribution
- Schedule and coordinate transportation for inter-depot transfers and customer deliveries.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Track delivery schedules and resolve any transit delays or discrepancies.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, waybills, and delivery confirmations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements for agro-input handling.
- Prepare and submit regular distribution reports to the Head of Sales.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Warehouse teams to resolve order or invoicing mismatches.
- Provide feedback to the Head of Sales on distribution challenges, infrastructure needs, or market demand patterns.
Desired Skills/Competencies
- Minimum of Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Microsoft Office conversant
