ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation and delivery of goods in accordance with company standards and procedures. The Driver is responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition, adhering to all road safety regulations, and providing reliable and professional service while supporting the organization’s logistics and operational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transport materials, and staff securely to areas where they are needed
  • Guarantee that products and staff are protected and secured
  • Answer clients’ inquiries as brilliantly as could be allowed
  • Ensure timely conveyance of staff and materials to and from places as instructed by supervisor or the manager
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport staff, goods, or materials to designated locations
  • Pick up and deliver goods promptly while following assigned routes and schedules
  • Ensuring goods are handled and secured properly
  • Verify delivery details, including addresses, quantities, and recipient information
  • Obtain delivery confirmations (signatures or proof of delivery where required)
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs
  • Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and deliveries
  • Assist with logistics tasks such as organizing items for delivery or collection
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
  • Ensure timely reporting of any delays, accidents, or incidents
