Mulime farm is a crop and poultry farm located in Lusaka and is recruiting drivers to manage farm logistics.
Responsibilities or duties
To provide secure and timely driving services and logistics at the farm
- Keep the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner and in accordance with Zambian Traffic laws & Regulations
- Deliveries of farm produce to different locations
- Deliveries of poultry orders in early hours as per orders
- Ensure punctuality, comfort and safety of passengers
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy and in good working condition
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before using the vehicle and immediately report any mechanical faults, unusual noises or other abnormalities to your supervisor
- Ensure that all essential equipment is kept in the vehicle and is in good working condition – car jack, spare tire, first aid kit etc.
- Maintain and submit vehicle log book information to supervisor on a weekly basis
- Report any accident immediately, however small it may be
- Ensure vehicle insurance and registration is updated according to schedule
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Must be able to drive manual vehicles
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
Experience needed
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Experience of having driven on a farm and be able to work early hours is an advantage
