About the Multi Purpose Driver Role

The primary responsibility of the Multi Purpose Driver is to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of vehicles and lifting equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and light trucks. You will be entrusted with moving equipment and materials to designated locations and storage yards while maintaining the condition and safety of all assets.

Key Responsibilities for Multi Purpose Driver Jobs in Solwezi

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on mobile equipment and vehicles, completing vehicle check log books accurately.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Maintain detailed log books documenting trips and operational activities.
• Load and unload trucks precisely using forklifts, ensuring the integrity of goods through careful handling and storage.
• Operate equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to company policies and legal regulations.
• Stack and retrieve goods at specified locations safely and efficiently.
• Secure loads correctly to prevent damage or accidents during transportation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
• Valid SADC Driver’s License, Class C or higher.
• Certification in Mobile Crane Operations.
• Experience operating mobile cranes, forklifts, low bed trucks, and tractors is an advantage.
• At least three years of relevant experience as a qualified Multi Purpose Driver.
