Position: Electrician
Purpose of the Role:
To install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, lighting systems, and other electrical infrastructure on construction sites in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
- Perform general electrical maintenance tasks on construction sites
- Inspect and maintain electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using the appropriate testing tools
- Install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code, state, and local regulations
- Perform maintenance on circuit breakers and other power systems
- Maintain working knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical testing equipment
- Support plumbing and renewable energy installations (if applicable)
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Certificate or higher qualification in Electrical Studies
- Electrician Practising Licence is mandatory
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience as an Electrician
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power generation, and blueprint reading
- Experience in plumbing and renewable energy is an added advantage
- Must be willing and able to work in different locations as assigned
- A valid driver’s license will be considered an added advantage
