Huachen International Supply Chain Limited is seeking to employ an Electrician in the Construction Department to join our team.

JOB PURPOSE

To assist in the maintenance and repair of water and electrical systems within the company premises and construction project sites.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of water and electricity to ensure steady supply of water and electricity.
• Assist with periodic construction and renovation of water and electricity systems.
• Responsible for the daily inspection and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure timely detection and elimination of defects and faults.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining equipment and repair tools in a safe and clean state.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a solid foundation in electrical engineering theory and strong skills in water and electricity maintenance and installation processes.
• Must possess strong safety awareness and the ability to anticipate and identify potential equipment hazards.
• Must possess proficient experience in repairing switch circuits and the ability to handle unexpected events and malfunctions.
• Must possess a high sense of responsibility, with a team spirit and a willingness to overcome challenges.
• Familiar with the basic principles for the maintenance, repair, safe operation, and troubleshooting abilities of generators, photovoltaic, water heaters, transformers, water pumps, and other related water and electricity equipment.
• Must possess the ability to quickly learn new processes and construction standards, be able to identify one's own shortcomings in work, and have a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER PREFERENCES

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or related field.
• At least three (03) years’ work experience in construction engineering installation, maintenance, and management of water and electricity systems residential areas or enterprise units, and factories.
• Must be a paid member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
• Willing to reside within the company yard and any other construction site during projects.
• Must be a resident of Ndola or willing to re-locate.

NOTE.

All interviews shall be conducted in-person at our Sakania Office in Ndola.

Salary negotiable based on Qualifications and Experience.
