KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation & Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, including pumps, motors, and generators.

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose electrical problems, conduct system tests, and repair or replace faulty electrical components and systems.

System Management: Oversee and troubleshoot electrical systems for irrigation, production areas, and other farm operations.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and electrical codes during all work operations.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs and maintenance schedules.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous operation of farm machinery.

Collaboration: Work with farm management and technical staff to ensure efficient power distribution and improve system performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education: A Craft Certificate or Diploma in electrical or a related field is often required.

Experience: Minimum experience in power electrical systems, often with a specific number of years mentioned in job postings.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.

Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical safety standards and procedures.

Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and the ability to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.
