Thorntree River Lodge, a safari destination nestled on the river banks of mighty Zambezi river in the Mosi-Oa Tunya National Park, is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to come on board and join our dynamic team in the capacity of Electrician. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures around the Camp
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Assist in minimizing downtime by responding promptly to breakdowns
• Constantly check on the Genset, electric fence, geysers, radios and other electric installations, ensuring they are in working order
• Perform daily duties and follow up on maintenance work as instructed by the Head of Maintenance.

Requirements

• Full grade 12 certificate
• Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 2–3 years relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) .
