We are looking for a unique and versatile professional who bridges the gap between hardware electrical systems and modern information technology. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our core electrical infrastructure alongside our automated systems, smart parking hardware (LPR cameras, boom barriers, pay stations), and local IT network infrastructure.
If you possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering/wiring combined with hands-on IT networking and computer hardware troubleshooting skills, this is the ideal opportunity for you!
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Electrical Systems Maintenance: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical panels, wiring, power distribution units, lighting systems, and backup power supplies across facilities.
- Smart Hardware & Access Control Support: Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical components, automatic gates, boom barriers, ticket dispensers, and automated pay stations.
- IT Infrastructure & Networking: Maintain local area networks (LAN), routers, switches, fiber/ethernet cabling, and Wi-Fi access points to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
- System Diagnostics & LPR Support: Configure, test, and maintain License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras, CCTV surveillance systems, and data-capturing hardware.
- Software & Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve computer hardware issues, peripheral malfunctions, and operating system errors for operational workstations and kiosks.
- Preventative Maintenance & Safety: Conduct routine checks on electrical and IT assets to prevent downtime, adhering strictly to occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
- Emergency Response: Provide rapid response support during technical outages, system failures, or power fluctuations to minimize operational disruption.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma, Craft Certificate, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) working in a combined electrical maintenance and IT/networking support environment.
- Dual Skillset:
- Electrical: Certified or proven competence in industrial/commercial electrical wiring, troubleshooting power faults, and reading schematics.
- IT/Tech: Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routers, switches, cabling), CCTV systems, and hardware diagnostics.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent analytical skills to quickly determine whether a system failure is electrical, mechanical, or software-driven and apply the correct fix.
- Professional Attributes: Self-driven, able to work independently or in a team, and capable of handling pressure in high-traffic or live operational environments.
