Job Overview:
First Quantum Minerals is seeking an Emergency Response Technician to provide immediate and efficient emergency services within our Kalumbila operations. The successful candidate will respond to incidents, deliver first aid, and support health and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to fire, medical, and safety emergencies across site
  • Conduct inspections of fire equipment and emergency supplies
  • Participate in drills and ensure compliance with response protocols
  • Maintain accurate emergency incident records
  • Support risk assessments and hazard identification
  • Assist with training and awareness campaigns for staff

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in mining or industrial emergency response
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to handle high-stress situations
  • Knowledge of mine safety laws and response equipment
