Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Environmental Officer to support the implementation of the company’s environmental management plan. The role involves monitoring compliance, ensuring regulatory alignment, and promoting sustainable practices across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor environmental performance in line with legal and corporate standards
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and impact assessments
• Collect and analyze environmental samples (air, water, soil)
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and environmental documentation
• Promote awareness and provide training on environmental issues
• Work with departments to reduce environmental risks and incidents

Qualifications:

• Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in environmental management (mining preferred)
• Knowledge of Zambian environmental legislation and ISO standards
• Strong report-writing and presentation skills
• Proficiency in GIS, Excel, and other environmental monitoring software is an advantage

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: bachelor degree
